Cedar Crest Lodge

I cannot say enough good things about Cedar Crest Lodge! The land is beautiful, the rooms are clean and prestige and the staff is above and beyond. They put thought into every single detail. We’ve never been so relaxed or taken care of. The spa was amazing, and the massage and facial were top notch! We loved walking the wooded trails, relaxing in the hot tub and using the sauna. Every single meal was SO good — chef approved! We can’t wait to visit here again and again :)

This was my second solo-vacation to Cedar Crest Lodge. I enjoyed both of my stays very much and will be back again. Cedar Crest is a great place to stay for a few days and unwind, which is exactly why I continue to book with them. Matt and Laura, the owners, and all of their staff are fantastic - friendly and attentive. They pay great attention to detail, making sure your needs are met throughout your stay. I have thoroughly enjoyed various spa services both times I've been and highly recommend them. The food is amazing. Definitely plan to have dinner at the Lodge, if you're staying there! The location/property is beautiful, with a great view of the rural Kansas landscape and trails around the property to get your steps in and explore. I recommend Cedar Crest to my family and friends all the time - you won't regret choosing to stay there!

Absolutely the best B&B my wife and I have ever stayed at, hands down. If you visit their website, there's a lot of talk about how they're one of the best B&Bs in the state. It's 100% accurate. The rooms are each themed, unique, and immaculately appointed. The grounds are equally impressive, boasting excellent walking/hiking trails with clearly marked signs and convenient, clean seating at each of the picturesque look-out points. The on-premise cuisine on offer is quite simply some of the best food we've ever had, sourced from local ingredients and prepared to the kind of standards found in upscale Kansas City dining establishments. The spa, also on-premise, is clean, soothing, and staffed by wonderful massage therapists. Perhaps best of all, the staff at Cedar Crest are legitimately friendly. There were no false smiles, no plays at polite conversation. Each and every person is perfectly happy to sit down and chat with you about anything and everything like an old friend might, all while providing the high level of service that marks their establishment aside as something truly special, and not just another 'country retreat'. We're already planning our next visit!

My wife and I keep returning to this place, and we are so grateful for it. We live in KC, and it is the perfect respite with beautiful grounds (and fantastic views), quiet well-maintained walking trails, and an overall atmosphere of great peace. The proprietors (Matt & Laura) treat you warmly like houseguests and friends, the food is AMAZING (and all 3 meals are provided your option), and they do an amazing job cleaning and maintaining the property (which matters greatly to us). Overall, couldn't more highly recommend!

This was our first stay at a B&B and it truly set the bar high. Matt and Laura, and the rest of the staff, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect mid-week getaway that we were hoping for. My husband enjoyed the fishing while I curled up on the deck to enjoy the quiet and a good book. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We will definitely be back!!
